This isn't really forum help, per se, but it is technical help so this is where I'm putting it. Does anyone know how to change the little graphic up in the tab? Does that make sense? Right now the forum one says GW and I really hate that.

Hmmm. Do you mean the favicon? Like the little image next to an address in the address bar?

Yes! It shows up there, then in Opera it always shows up on the tab.

Ahh, yeah. For HTML, it just requires a single line of code and an appropriate image. I'm not sure how it works with phpBB.

I don't know what this forum's settings are for it, if any, but I'm not getting a custom favicon here on any browser. Occasionally, Firefox will erroneously assign the wrong favicon to sites; maybe other browsers do this too.

Just nosed into the page source... if you find an icon you like, simply name it favicon.ico and upload it to templates/GuildWarsAlliance/images/favicon.ico to replace the current theme's one.... and to make it display on any of the non-forum pages load it into the root of fantasyfreaks.org as well.

Oh, and if anyone else uses the other non guildwar themes, you'll need to replace the favicon in their theme folders as well. (Unless the root favicon overrides the theme specific ones, but I doubt it)

If you need help to find an icon you like let me know :) I have a few fantasy-ish themed ones knocking about thanks to iconbuffet.com

Thanks so much, Gil! If you can find one that would be appropriate that would be great. I am not so great with the graphics, but really hate the GuildWar one b/c I never assosicate GW with FFF, you know? I might have to beg you to help me figure out how to do it on my blog, too.

For here, have a look at these:

http://www.freeiconsweb.com/Harry_Potter_icons.htm
http://www.iconshock.com/web-icons/harry-potter/
http://www.iconbuffet.com/freedelivery/packages/marseilles-storyboook
http://www.iconbuffet.com/freedelivery/packages/marseilles-spellbound

To display in the web browser nicely you'll want one that looks good in 16x16 so don't get tempted by ones that have loads of details. They kinda cheat by showing you huge previews then when you download the actual icons they are smaller and obviously have to have less detail to look clear.

For some reason all the reasonable looking fantasy ones online seem to be Harry Potter themed! most search terms seem to pull up buddy icons that aren't actually icon format... I bet searching for "fantasy icons" will bring up nekkidness...

Let me know if anything like this is ok

I never knew how hard it is to make text clear on a 16x16 pixel canvas.

You are totally the bestest! I think I like the middle one the best. Do you want to send me the file and then I will see if I can figure out how to upload it and get it to work? I LOVE YOU.

I'm not drunk.

Thanks! That was so easy! So easy a cave man could do it! Or an English major, as Mike said.
