Hello Freaks,

Very sorry about the prolonged absence! I spent weeks fighting with the host and the domain name registrar. They both blamed the other, and in the end I transferred the name to DreamHost and now we are working. Never use www.internetregistration.com. The problem was obviously on their end!

What have you been reading during the days of darkness?

I've been reading Harry Dresden. I started Book 4, since I read the first three a few years ago. Much better than I remember!

Carrie

Yay! Thank you C!

I haven't read anything new but I am having a problem going off list from my TBR pile whenever amazon has sales on kindle books I have a passing interest in. $2.99 and I can't help myself!

Yay! I finished Words of Radiance and came here for a suggestion on what to read next and you were gone! So glad you got it all figured out. This is a great community. So. I read Lord Valentines Castle, classic Silverberg and now I'm back to "what do I read next?" Suggestions welcome.

I did a full Dresden Files re-read and capped it off with Skin Game, as well as Dan Brown's Inferno. I've been reading a lot!

Oh! I really liked Inferno- I wasn't going to get it because I was really disappointed with The Lost Symbol, but then it was an amazon daily deal so.... :)

I re-read Cold Days and then Skin Game when it came out. I am currently rereading Skin Game slowly, as real life is actually interfering with reading time. lol I also started Feed by Mira Grant (also known as Seanan McGuire) which is book 1 of her News Flesh series (zombies) since it was on sale for $1.99. I am not a fan of zombies and was not far enough along in the book before heading back to the Dresden series to have an opinion on it yet.

Praise the light, life without FFF was like unto a tempest of darkness. 500 pages into Words of Radiance by Sanderson atm. After that....probably either a reread of farseer or Otherland by Tad Williams.

I'm on my second read-through of Skin Game. After that it's off to the new S.A. Corey space opera installment, then maybe the next Dagger and Coin book will be out. Also looking forward to the return of Fitz later this year.

I miss reading...four kids, a house, a job, and school do not leave much time for reading or other hobbies. Even if I had the time to read more than I do (maybe a book every two months instead of a book every two days like it used to be) I don't know what to read. I usually end up re-reading old books I already own. Not many new books look all that appealing to me.

Theft of Swords by Michael J. Sullivan for $2.99
and
Austenland by Shannon Hale for $1.99 (I liked the movie:) )

I might have to get the Hale book! I liked some of her earlier YA work, but some of it was not that great.

I just finished reading Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. Not fantasy, but reminded me of fantasy freaks! Its mainly about a girl who is totally into fanfic (a fandom created by the author that is basically an HP rip-off). I hated it at first since I am not into fanfic, but then I loved it because I am into nerds.
