Apologies if this ends up looking weird, I'm writing this on my phone at lunch. Well, as we all (probably) know, Terry Pratchett was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's a few years ago (he's only 64). His ability to write has been severely impacted, and he wrote his last four books through dictation. Eventually, he wont be able to write at all. :(

But, unlike we WoT fans, who initially feared that the series would remain incomplete, after the untimely death of the Dragon himself, the late, great Robert Jordan, Sir Terry has already chosen a successor, to take over the series once he can no longer write: his daughter, Rhianna. She is currently writing for the upcoming The Watch TV series (which omg has me so excited that Paed almost peed his pants). More details here:

I had heard about his declining health but I had hoped it was a mistake or a delusion on my part. That is good, I love Discworld--second best series ever written. But please Pat don't use his name, that is blasphemous--call him The Creator.
