It has started. Memory, legend, myth and all. Yes indeed, I'm some five chapters into The Eye of the World. I can't remember how many years ago I last read the early WoT books, but so far it's all familiar. I think I will definitely be able to read all the books before aMoL comes out.

The first cream slashed dress appeared on page 22.

May the Light shine on you all.

I'm on chapter 6 of my reread. The scenes of Tam bringing out the sword, the Trolloc breaking down the door, and Rand carrying Tam to town are fantasy classics.

I'm depressed. It's time to pick up the re-read again to restore my inner balance.

Now I feel the urge to put on my RAFO t-shirt...

I've come to the conclusion that two chapters a day will keep the doctor away (and hopefully let me finish the reread in time for aMoL). We shall see...

Sanderson Twittered yesterday that he's at 48%. Better get moving!

Oh god, the menagerie... I'm not sure if I could survive that again.

Am I really the only person who liked the menagerie chapters? *l* Even if Valan Luca is a raging douchebag.

Pat, at least I didn't hate them. I can't saythey are the
most enjoyable chapters of WoT. They are decent, sometimes annoying,
but I didn't hate them.

I think the problem with the menagerie chapters is that they, for me, came to represent the pace of the series-- moving very slowly, and stopping in too many places.

I suppose, after I get through the Dresden Files, I should start my own re-read of the series. The only time I've reread anything in the series was the first three, and then Knife of Dreams before the Sanderson-penned books came out.

Bah, the chapters in the beginning of tSR are too long. I'm falling behind on my reread.
