Would anybody (or everybody) be kind enough to post their favorite spaghetti recipe? Gonna cook it soon and wouldn't mind trying somebody elses style.

I posted a recipe somewhere on this forum, but basically it's a spiffing awesome vegetarian version of Spaghetti and meatballs.

Spaghetti (or any type of pasta)
Ground beef
Tomato/pasta sauce of your choice

1. Cook pasta
2. Cook ground beef (stovetop in frying pan)
3. Drain pasta and beef then mix together with small amount of sauce. viola!

Cheap and easy just how I like it.

The sauce I make is as follows

500g Mince topside
2x 410g Can crushed tomatoes
1x 140g Tub of tomatoe paste
6 or 7 garlic cloves (I always use a lot of garlic)
1x brown onion
1x Table spoon olive oil
1.5 tea spoon beef stock powder
400g water
Fresh basil (I use a good sized bunch)
Mushrooms (Optional)
Salt and pepper to taste

Finely chop garlic (I dont like crushing it)
Chop onion into small pieces.
Chop mushrooms if used.

Heat oil in hot sauce pan.
Add garlic and oinion, fry till onion starts to soften.
Boil water in kettle.
Add mince. Work with wooden spoon untill mice browns and is all seperated.
Add crushed tomatoe and tomatoe paste and combine with wooden spoon.
Put stock powder in tomatoe can. Add boiling water, Disolve and add to pot.
Add mushrooms and stir.
If using salt and pepper add now and stir in.
Chop basil and stir into pot.
Turn heat down to simmer. Place lid on pot.
Cook for approx 2hrs. Check and stir every 15 minutes.

It is ready once it has reduced to a good saucy thickness with no liquid settling on top.

For best flavor refrigerate and reheat the next day. Freezes well.
If you want to make it in a hurry you can leave the lid off. It will reduce faster but the flavors will not combine as well.
