Yeah, the identity issues are washing over it, as they are over so many of our dearest beliefs. One has to be hopeful, though. So much of the best of our culture's traditions have their roots in Christianity, I would hate to have it fade away ... or, for that matter, to morph into nothing more than another conservative political party.
