In that has become a way to rare occasion have I actually read and liked a new book. Since it's kinda quiest, that about exchanging some thoughts?
The book in question is Pratchett's latest, Wintersmith: a Tiffany Arching Book. Now, I really like the Tiffany books, and consider them the best Discworld books in the last few years. The idea to follow a child growing up to be a witch that will match Granny Weatherwax is a great idea.
That said, I thought this one wasn't as good as the previous two. I'm so used to Pratchett twisting and mangling the way to the end in such fantastical ways that I was dissapointed in the pretty linear plot. It may be beacuse it's intended for younger readers?
And I now ADORE Roland. :-)
